Donald DePriest

President

Don, along with his wife Karen, founded Renaissance Roofing, Inc. in 1996 after they realized the need for a high-quality roofing contractor in our area. Don continues to lead and grow Renaissance Roofing, Inc. This drive has made Renaissance Roofing, Inc. what it is today. Don has extensive roofing industry expertise with installing new roof systems, leak investigations, along with proper ventilation and insulation industry requirements. Don is excited to now offer solar roof installations, as of 2024. Don enjoys working with homeowners to solve their roofing problems and will visit most projects while in progress to monitor quality roofing installation.

Karen DePriest

Vice-President

Karen founded Renaissance Roofing, Inc. along with Don in 1996. She is responsible for overall office operations and brings extensive financial knowledge in accounting, purchasing, sales, customer service, and human resources. Along with Don, she continues to bring the latest technology in roofing to our customers. She is the key person when it comes to implementing new ideas and products into our everyday operations. Her belief that “companies that do not change over time will fail” is apparent every year with new ideas and products being offered to our homeowners. In 2024, Karen has worked extensively with GAF Energy to bring solar shingle opportunities to Michigan. Renaissance Roofing, Inc. is one of a handful of GAF Installers trained to install solar.

Robby Upchurch

Superintendent

Robby has significant experience within the construction industry. Before joining the Renaissance Roofing team, he spent several years in new construction with expertise in framing, roofing and all general areas of new construction. Robby has been with us for over fifteen years and leads our roofing teams. His knowledge of construction and roofing systems is extensive.

Michael Messenger

Foreman & Repair Specialist

Michael joined our team over ten years ago as a roofing laborer. We recognized early that Michael was eager to learn the roofing trade. He rose quickly from a ground laborer to becoming one of our expert shingle installers. In 2017, Michael was promoted to Foreman. Customers enjoy engaging with him due to his pleasant nature and knowledge of the roofing installation and repair process.

Nathan Kriewall

Assistant Foreman

Nate has been a member of our team since 2019. Nate has proven his expertise as a talented shingle installer. Over the years working for Renaissance Roofing, Inc., Nate has gained extensive knowledge and experience in the roofing industry. In recognition of his growth and leadership, he has recently been promoted as a Foreman. We are excited to see Nate grow with our company as he works closely with homeowners on the job site.

Trish Oppelt

Office & Customer Relations Assistant

When you call Renaissance Roofing Inc., the friendly voice on the phone is Trish. She joined our team in fall of 2022 and currently has an associate’s degree in general business. Trish manages our office and maintains organization with all members of our administrative team. Her main responsibilities include all aspects of customer relations, sales assistance, and focusing on growing our social media presence.

Kaitlyn Brennan

Internal Operations

Kaitlyn has a bachelor's degree in supply chain management. She is our Internal Operations Analyst for solar roofing and insurance claims. Kaitlyn will be the one assisting you when mother nature disrupts your home or powers your home. Kaitlyn also assists with invoicing and inventory purchasing.
